The Latest News:
Adobe Lightroom’s new Update
Adobe Lightroom just got an upgrade, trying to make editing easier, faster, and smarter for everyone. Here’s whats new:
AI-Powered Quick Actions: Lightroom now suggests one-tap edits based on your photo. It auto-detects subjects and backgrounds, making it super easy to fine-tune adjustments.
Generative Remove for All: The powerful tool to remove distractions is out of beta and available for everyone. Just circle what you want and it’s gone.
Speed Boosts in Lightroom Classic: Adobe has doubled performance in the Develop module, plus Nikon users will notice faster tethered capture.
Better HDR Support: No more juggling SDR and HDR versions of your photos. The new update auto-detects the right one based on the screen, and you can even edit HDR video on mobile and Mac now.
Smaller Tweaks: More RAW file support, better disk space control in Lightroom Classic, and Content Credentials, a new feature in early access that allows you to attach your name, social media handle, and a list of edits to your exported images through a digital signature.

Firefly Image 3 Model: This latest AI model improves Generative Fill and Generative Expand, letting you easily add, remove, or extend parts of your image.
Better Color and HDR: Photoshop now supports 32-bit HDR editing and has improved color workflows with OpenColor IO.
Adobe Camera Raw (ACR): New tools like Generative Expand and Adobe Adaptive make it easier to work with dynamic scenes and landscapes.
Canon to Announce Three New Lenses
cc: Canon
Canon will announce three new "hybrid" L-series lenses for RF mirrorless cameras on October 30. Based on a teaser image, the new lenses resemble the 24-105mm f/2.8 L and 35mm f/1.4 L announced earlier this year, featuring two prime lenses and one zoom. The zoom lens is similar in size to the 24-105mm, while the primes match the size of the 35mm. This consistent sizing is useful for filmmakers using rigs or gimbals. These hybrid lenses are built for both high-quality stills and video, using tech from Canon's cinema and broadcast lines. Full details will come on October 30.
Google’s AI Image Generator now on Gemini
Created by Imagen 3
Google has added Imagen 3, its AI image generator, to its Gemini chatbot, so you can now create pictures much like you do with DALL-E on ChatGPT. But, there’s a catch: you can’t generate images of people unless you have early access to Gemini Advanced, which costs $19.99 a month after a free trial. Imagen 3 itself is free to use.
Originally limited to AI Test Kitchen, Imagen 3 is now available to more users. It’s Google’s best model yet, with sharper details and better understanding of prompts. You can also tweak images using inpainting, where you select part of an image and describe what to change.
