Luminar Mobile 2.0 For Android

credits: Skylum
Skylum has released Luminar Mobile 2.0 for Android, giving photographers a much more capable, mobile, editing experience. The update brings several tools that were previously limited to desktop software, now fully available on phones and tablets.
The biggest new feature is the Curves tool, which gives much finer control over brightness, contrast, and colour. There are also new one-tap Presets for quick edits, plus a âRevert to Originalâ option that lets you experiment freely without worrying about losing your original shot. Skylum has also added Luminar Space, a new catalog system that organises your edits and syncs them across devices, so you can start editing on your phone and pick up later on your tablet or desktop.
A few quality-of-life upgrades round out the update. Home screen widgets give you faster access to favourite tools and Sky Enhancement now offers more control over replacements, including flipping, positioning, and blending adjustments. Luminar Mobile 2.0 is available on the Google Play Store, and existing users can update for free.

Snappr Is Coming To Europe

credits: Snappr
Snappr, often described as the âUber for photographers,â is coming to Europe after raising $28 million in Series B funding. The company already operates in the U.S. and Australia, and now plans to expand into several European markets while adding support for French, Italian, Spanish, German, and Dutch. Founded in Australia in 2016, Snappr connects clients with photographers for everything from corporate and real estate shoots to portraits and family sessions, all bookable through its app or website.
The platform promises quick access to photographers, sometimes even on short notice, which has made it appealing to both consumers and major companies such as DoorDash, Redfin, and Instacart. For photographers, the platform offers steady work and simple scheduling, though not everyone is happy with the pay rates, some photographers argue they are below industry standards, while others view it as an easy way to fill slow periods between other jobs.
Snappr has also begun experimenting with AI-assisted imagery, giving clients the option to generate or enhance photos while still involving a human photographer in the process. CEO Matt Schiller says this âcreator-in-the-loopâ approach ensures the images still meet professional standards. How well the model translates to this new market remains to be seen, but we will find out soon enough once Snappr is actually up and running across Europe.
