The Latest News:
Sigma Is Developing A New Lens

At CP+ 2025, Sigmaâs CEO Kazuto Yamaki casually dropped some big news: a new version of the 35mm f/1.2 DG DN Art lens is in the works.
No official specs yet, but expect it to be smaller, lighter, and optically better than the 2019 original, which was big and heavy (1,090g, 136mm long, 82mm filters). Given that Sigma recently refreshed its 24-70mm f/2.8, it makes sense theyâd update this lens too.
No word on price or release date, but with the E-mount version disappearing from stores, a launch might not be far off.
Vanguardâs Universal LVL Bases

credits: Vanguard
Vanguard just announced the LVL Universal Tripod Leveling System, a set of five leveling bases that fit almost any tripod. Instead of fiddling with tripod legs to get a level shot, you can just adjust the baseâperfect for video, panoramas, or shooting on uneven ground.
The bases range from 42mm to 75mm and can handle up to 40kg (88 lbs). Theyâre made from solid aluminum, weigh between 4oz and 12.5oz, and offer 360° rotation with up to 15° tilt. They install between your tripodâs legs and head, locking in with screws for quick adjustments.
Great for reducing strain during long shoots, these will be available April or May 2025 for $70â$127.
Something You Should Check Out
AI is something that most photographers/creatives see critically, and for absolutely good reason. HOWEVER the fact at the end of the day is that there sadly is no stopping AI, so the best thing you can do is learn how to use AI to your own advantage, whether that be with helping you with daily tasks, writing, editing, your day-job etc.
This is where ââThe Rundown AIââ Newsletter comes in. It will teach you how to use AI to your advantage, increase your work efficiency (something every creative needs) etc.
Definitely check it out, I read it myself, highly recommended (+its free) âŹď¸
