Zeiss Unveils New Lenses

After weeks of teasing, Zeiss has finally made it official—the Otus ML series is here, starting with a 50mm f/1.4 and an 85mm f/1.4 coming later this year. These all-metal, manual-focus lenses are built for full-frame mirrorless cameras and promise top-tier image quality with classic Zeiss precision.
Like the original Otus DSLR lenses, these are manual focus only, featuring a buttery-smooth focus ring and a manual aperture ring. The 50mm f/1.4 has 14 elements in 11 groups, a 259-degree focus throw, and Zeiss’s T coating to cut down flare and boost colour accuracy.
At $2,499, the Otus ML 50mm f/1.4 is way pricier than autofocus rivals like Sony’s G Master ($1,300) and Canon’s RF 50mm f/1.4 ($1,400). But Zeiss fans know what they’re paying for—insane sharpness, premium build, and a legendary name. The 85mm f/1.4 is coming later in 2025 for $2,799.

Photoshop’s New Mobile App

Adobe has introduced new Photoshop apps for mobile and web, bringing many of its core editing tools to more devices. The apps offer a streamlined interface designed for touchscreens, making it easier for new users to get started while keeping familiar features for those already using Photoshop.
The free version includes basic tools like layers, masks, selections, blending, and Adobe’s AI-powered Generative Fill. A paid plan ($7.99/month or $69.99/year) unlocks additional editing tools such as Object Select, Magic Wand, and Content-Aware Fill, along with expanded AI features.
Current Photoshop subscribers will automatically get access to the new mobile app. The iPhone version is available now, with an Android release planned for later this year.
