Adobe’s AI-Chatbot-Editor For Creatives

Adobe is going all-in on AI, this time with an assistant built into creative tools to help you get stuff done faster and smarter. Think of it like a helpful sidekick in Photoshop or Premiere Pro that understands what you’re trying to do, offers suggestions, and can even take care of some of the grunt work for you.

Adobe says this isn’t about replacing creativity, but freeing you up to spend more time on the fun parts of the process. For example, imagine Photoshop spotting a distracting background element or a boring sky, and not just suggesting a fix — but doing it for you with one click (if you want). It’s already doing things like removing wires and people from shots with one tap. They’re also building this kind of smarts into Premiere Pro. Their new “Media Intelligence” feature can understand your footage and help you search clips with natural language.

All this is headed toward a more user-friendly, intuitive creative workflow — especially for beginners still finding their way around complex apps like Photoshop. We will get a closer look at Adobe’s first real “creative agent” later this month at Adobe MAX in London.

Lexar’s New Stainless-Steel SD Cards

Lexar is back at NAB 2025 with some flashy new gear—literally. After debuting the world’s first stainless steel SD cards last year, they’ve now revealed gold ones.

These new Lexar Armor Gold UHS-II SDXC cards are built like tanks but aimed at serious creators. They come in sizes from 64GB all the way up to 1TB, and they're faster than the previously announced Silver Pro version, with write speeds up to 205 MB/s (compared to the Silver’s 160 MB/s max). Both top out at 280 MB/s read speeds, and both support V60video class for 4K and 6K video. They’re also IP68-rated for water and dust resistance, apparently 37 times stronger than regular SD cards, and made without the usual little “ribs” or write-protect switch.

The Gold cards will be sold through Lexar’s usual stores, while the Silver Pros are Amazon-only. The 128GB Gold will run you $69, and the 256GB is $119—slightly more expensive than the Silver version. Gold cards ship in a couple of weeks, and Silver ones should hit Amazon later this spring.

The 60 Seconds Review

Welcome to a new part of the Bite Size Magazine, the 60 seconds Review. Here I will review a piece of photography gear every week (so camera, lens, filter, tripod etc.) and write it together in a compact format which you will be able to read in 60 seconds or less.

This time in Review: The Sigma 50mm f/1.2 Art Lens

The Sigma 50mm f/1.2 Art lens is Sigma’s attempt at proving that you don’t have to spend an immense fortune for professional-grade optics. Available in both L-mount and Sony E-mount, this is a fast, sharp, and thoughtfully designed lens that manages to undercut its biggest rivals on both size and price—without sacrificing much, if anything, in image quality.

Handling and Build

This is one of the more compact f/1.2 lenses out there, weighing just 745 grams—about 40 grams lighter than Sony’s 50mm f/1.2 G Master. It’s fully weather-sealed, has a lockable lens hood, a declickable aperture ring, and twin linear motors for fast autofocus. All of this adds up to a lens that feels premium and well thought out, but still totally usable for everyday photography, whether you're walking city streets or on assignment.

Shooting Experience

Using this lens wide-open at f/1.2 is a joy. It’s sharp across the frame, even in the corners, and it doesn't fall apart at the edges like some ultra-fast lenses tend to do. Autofocus is snappy and reliable, even for fast-moving subjects. There's a bit of longitudinal chromatic aberration, but nothing that’ll ruin your shots, and overall, this lens is incredibly well-behaved optically. Flare, ghosting, and distortion are very well controlled.

Image Quality

The real star here is the bokeh. Thanks to a 13-bladed aperture (a first for Sigma), out-of-focus areas are buttery smooth, with round specular highlights and none of that harsh onion-ring texture. Even stopped down, the aperture shape stays nice and circular. The transition from sharp to soft is silky, making this lens ideal for portraiture or any scene where you want that cinematic look. Sigma also reduced focus breathing significantly, so video shooters get something usable here, too.

Who’s It For?

If you’ve always wanted an f/1.2 lens but didn’t want to break your back—or your bank account—this is the one to get. It's perfect for portrait shooters, street photographers, wedding pros, or anyone who wants top-tier shallow depth of field performance without the G Master price tag. It's also a solid choice for hybrid creators, since the autofocus and breathing control make it a viable option for video work.
