Panasonicās New 24-60mm f/2.8 Lens

credits: Panasonic
Panasonic has announced the Lumix S 24-60mm f/2.8, a new compact standard zoom lens for L-mount that trades the usual 70mm reach for a smaller form factor. At 544 grams and just under 100mm long, itās designed for mobility while still offering a fast constant aperture across the zoom range.
Autofocus is powered by a new Dual Phase Linear Motor and encoder system, promising high-speed and precise focus. The lens also includes a customisable control ringāa first for the Lumix S lineāthat can be assigned to functions like aperture or exposure comp, along with a physical focus button for added control. Panasonic says the 24mm wide end suits dynamic landscapes, while 60mm provides enough compression for portraits.
Video features include minimised focus breathing and smooth aperture changes using micro-step control. Hybrid Zoom extends the reach up to 187mm via in-camera crop without altering the wide end. The lens is built with 14 elements in 12 groups, including three aspherical, two ED, and one UED element. It uses a 9-blade diaphragm, offers an f/2.8āf/22 range, and takes 77mm filters. The Lumix S 24-60mm f/2.8 will be available in late June for $899.99.

The DJI Mavic 4 Pro Is Here

DJI has officially introduced the Mavic 4 Pro, its latest flagship drone. The standout feature is a new Hasselblad triple-camera system with focal lengths of 28mm, 70mm, and 168mm, covering everything from wide-angle landscapes to long-range close-ups. The main 28mm camera uses a 100-megapixel Micro Four Thirds sensor (a quad Bayer type) and supports 6K/60p HDR recording with up to 16 stops of dynamic range.
The two telephoto cameras include a 48MP 1/1.3-inch sensor at 70mm and a 50MP 1/1.5-inch sensor at 168mm, both with f/2.8 lenses. All three cameras offer 4K/60p HDR and 10-bit video profiles like D-Log and HLG. The 28mm and 70mm lenses also support 4K/120p, while the longest telephoto goes up to 4K/100p. RAW photo stacking is available on all three lenses to enhance dynamic range.
The drone uses DJIās new āInfinity Gimbalā for full 360-degree rotation and improved stabilization, along with a 95Wh battery for flight times up to 51 minutes. Maximum speed is 90 km/h, and it has a 41km range, with O4+ transmission allowing HDR video streaming from up to 30km away. The Mavic 4 Pro is available now in Canada, the UK, and Europe, starting at $2,049 CAD / Ā£1,879 / ā¬2,099. A closer look at the drone will follow this Sunday ;)
