The Latest News:
Fujifilm to Set Another Record

cc: Fujifilm
Fujifilmâs Instax cameras are already a massive hit, but the company thinks 2025 will be its biggest year yet. Last week, they dropped the Instax Wide Evo Hybrid Instant Camera, a sleek, feature-packed instant camera with the widest Instax lens so farâequivalent to under 17mm. It connects to your phone, giving you even more creative control.
In a recent launch video, Fujifilm shared just how much Instax has grown. Last year alone, sales hit a record-breaking 150 billion yen (about $960 million), marking three straight years of growth. But theyâre not stopping thereâFujifilm expects 2025 to be another record year, thanks to strong demand for their latest Instax gear. According to Masato Yamamoto, Fujifilmâs Director and GM of Imaging Solutions, sales are already off to a strong start, and theyâre confident this year will top them all.
The Reveni Labs Lumo

cc: Reveni Labs
Reveni Labs, the company of analog photography nerd Matt Bechberger, is back with another fun gadgetâthe Lumo light meter. If youâre into film photography, you might already know his other cool projects, like a tiny hot shoe meter or an automated film processing machine. Now, heâs launching a pocket-sized, feature-packed light meter thatâs easy on the wallet.
The Lumo has a light dome for incident and flash metering, plus a 45-degree sensor for reflective metering. Itâs built from solid aluminum, has a bright full-color LCD, charges via USB-C (and yes, the battery is replaceable), and even has a 3.5mm flash trigger port. It covers shutter speeds from an hour to 1/8,000s, ISOs from 1 to 12,800, and even reads color temperature.
Made and assembled in Canada, the Lumo is up on Kickstarter for about $126 USD, with shipping expected in June. Bechbergerâs past campaigns have been solid, so this could be cool.
