Fujifilm x Google Collab?

cc: Fujifilm

Fujifilm and Google have teamed up to create something fun for photography fans: a special edition Instax Mini Link 3 printer in rose quartz, designed to match the new Pixel 9 Pro in the same shade. This pink printer connects seamlessly to the Pixel 9 Pro using Google’s Fast Pair tech, making it super easy to print photos straight from your phone.

According to Fujifilm, the Mini Link 3 isn’t just about printing pictures—it’s a creative tool. The companion app lets you add AR effects, stickers, and cool templates to your photos. There’s even a photobooth mode to snap up to six shots in a row.

Like the regular Mini Link 3, this version is compact, has triple LED indicators for easy use, and can print up to 100 photos per charge. It’s priced at $129.95—so not the cheapest ‘‘just for fun’’ gadget, however it’s still cool.

Radiant Photo 2 does AI Differently

cc: Radiant Photo

Radiant Imaging Labs just dropped Radiant Photo 2, the newest version of their photo editing software, and it’s all about using AI without messing with the photo’s authenticity. Unlike some AI-powered apps, Radiant Photo 2 doesn’t generate new elements; it enhances what’s already in your shot, helping your images look their best while keeping you in control.

Photographer Elia Locardi, who leads the company, puts it this way: “Photographers deserve tools that don’t just meet standards—they raise them.” Some standout features include:

  • Portrait tools: 10-point skin tone detection, natural Face Light, and modes for studio, group, and outdoor shots.

  • Landscape tools: Optimized edits for cityscapes, waterfalls, mountains, and lighting conditions like golden hour.

  • Bird photography workflow: A first-of-its-kind feature that recognizes 94 types of birds.

  • Pet workflow: Dedicated tools for dogs, cats, horses, and more.

All edits are non-destructive, so your original files stay untouched. Plus, all processing happens locally, so your data stays private. Intro price at the moment is $129.

$2.1 Million Leica Prototype

cc: Leitz Photographica Auction

The latest Leitz Photographica Auction had some wild surprises, including a rare Leica M prototype that absolutely smashed expectations. Estimated to sell for €700,000, it ended up going for a jaw-dropping €2,040,000 ($2.14M). This camera, made in 1948/49, came years before the Leica M3 and has a totally unique design that collectors clearly loved.

Other big sales included a Leica M2 in grey paint that went for €900,000 ($950K), blowing past its €600,000 estimate. A set of 10 Leica prototypes sold for €432,000 ($454K), and a black-paint Leica M3 from 1958 found a buyer for €360,000 ($380K). Even Leica knockoffs made waves—a Geodeziya Zavod FAG camera sold for €72,000 ($76K).
